Description
I don't remember where I took this picture, but when I find out, I'll post it here.
Technical Explanation
Reflections are everywhere. They can be in water, they can be off of glass, and they
can come from metal. Working in Manhattan down by the World Trade Center, I see a lot of
people with their cameras taking a picture of these huge buildings. That however is the
obvious picture. Some people look at the glass buildings around the World Trade Center
and take a picture of their reflection. These are the more creative, observant people.
This picture is the opposite of the type I just described. Instead of taking a picture
of a building from the ground, I decided to take a picture of the ground from a building
with the reflection of the ground in a building! The interesting thing here is how the
reflection of the highway merges into the actual highway. This is no technical
achievement, but the effect was very interesting.
Note: The above was written years before
the September 11th tragedy and I do not feel that it would be appropriate to
remove reference to the World Trade Center. I never want to pretend that those
beautiful buildings did not exist and enjoy seeing them referred to as a memory
of a more innocent time.
